[Quera Nitely]

Quera sighed as she felt the calming breeze. It was going to be a long walk to the castle.
She hoped for meeting new people as her kind, the Murrilbats had been lost and she was the only one she knew that survived but hoping that her species were alive somewhere else in the world.

Quera looked around seeing if there was anything that interested her while walking along the never-ending path. Maybe it would be faster using her gliders, well wings to get there although she couldn't fly because Murrilbat wings weren't meant to be used for flying but used to leap further.
She stopped and flicked her bat ear to get a better listen of something. Something was coming! She extended her wings and leaped up into the trees swiftly, trying not to make a sound...

[Madeline Bonnet]

Madeline walked slowly along the dirt road. She was holding her stuffed bear by one arm and the rest of him dragged limply along the ground as she walked. She turned her head from side to side, trying to get her bearings. The forest was a bit frightening to the young girl, and she kept seeing things that weren't there out of the corners of her eyes.

Her latest foster parents had brought her to Sindri's Cove themselves. The mother took her small hand warily and walked her to the docks, leaving her with that grouchy old boatman that smelled like fish. The look on the mother's face had been sad, as if she regretted having to send the child away. But even thought they thought that Madeline didn't understand, she had. She was bad luck, and they just wanted their lives to go back to normal. She went willingly with Hendry. She was used to moving.

Feeling more frightened by the unfamiliar sounds of the forest, the girl lifted her bear into her arms. She rounded her lips and cooed, trying to comfort both the toy and herself. She thought she saw something move again, but it was probably just her imagination. She stuck her scarred chin forward and walked as bravely as she could manage.

Quera looked out from the leaves of the tree. She looked down. It was just a little bunny. Quera jumped out and landed on the ground. She continued walking along the dirt road.

After walking for such a long time well at least it seemed like it, Quera stopped to rest.
"Maybe traveling in the trees would be faster than on foot."
She leaped into the tree. The tree was full of red ripe berries. Quera decided to stock up on berries for food while on her journey.
After a short break Quera continued. She leaped from branch to branch.
"This is way faster than on foot. Thanks to the help of my gliders."

Hours later...

Quera could see the castle from a distance. The road finally ended here. She was really excited!
She went on her way to the castle.
