Deneli followed after the horsie. Apparently he was just as curious about the big bird as she was. Kitty didn't seem to be too interested either. As they got closer, however, she saw that it wasn't a bird. It was a girl! Now Deneli found herself looking around the pasture for something she could have fallen out of. But there was nothing.

She looked back at the horse and Kitty on his back then giggled at how silly it must have looked to the new girl. It had looked silly to her, after all. She walked around the horse to stand on the side where the girl's head was and braced her palms on her knees. She tilted her head. "Are you okay?" Surely it's what the horse had wanted to ask.

The girl suddenly appearing only confused her more. What kind of gathering was this? Lots of animals, presumably.

"I'm fine--" Rhys started, suddenly remembered she was to act the part of a weak and paralyzed person, "--er...w-well, not r-really....M-My arm f-f-feels...unwell..."

She dramatically winced after moving her arm, receiving more pain than she'd expected.

Glancing up again, she'd only realized how blinding the white-color of the 'unicorn''s coat could be.

"Can you...help...me?" she said, blinking innocently.

'Oh, how I hate acting weak. Although, it's merely just acting, so I needn't worry.' she thought.

With her good arm, she reached out to stroke the muzzle of the beastie.

Ndale wobbled slightly as the horse started forward with little warning. He half-stood to keep his balance, but found that if he loosened his muscles, it wasn't too hard to just go with the rolling of the beast's hips, over which he was seated. He found himself going backwards, facing the wrong way for which the horse was going, and as such, turned his head around to see as it came to a stop. It fell? Ndale gaze was unimpressed. No duh she fell.

He wasn't that surprised it was a girl. Odder things had happened here, and really, lots of things flew here too. However, he assumed that most things that could fly would...and not fall. That seemed kind of contrary to the point and purpose of flying. He kept his dignity upon the back of the Shire, glancing over to keep an eye on the interaction of the girl, but otherwise really found no interest. As far as he was concerned, his fun day had been ruined by the faultiness of this horse and everyone's failure to be scared or surprised by him. Lame. He huffed.

Perhaps they should get the girl to the doctor though.

Abel was grateful for Deneli's question since he could not ask it himself. Although the answer was a little concerning. Her arm was unwell? He wondered if it was sprained or broken, and how seriously. Surely, they should get her to a doctor. Was there a doctor here anyway? Or would they have to go back to the mainland? Then she was looking at him and asking for help and he really wasn't sure what to do. He truly wanted to help. His nose bumped back into her hand, trying to be reassuring. If only he could ask Deneli if there was a doctor, and where, and offer the injured girl a ride to.. wherever that is.

A little lost, he just looked to the curly-hair girl and then to the cheetah on his back who he had almost forgotten about. Then he snorted in aggravation.

She sighed. The others were quite useless, considering they couldn't take any action whatsoever the few minutes after meeting her. She tucked her bad arm near her abdomen slowly, and did some strange roll diagonally, so that she could prop herself on her other arm. She hadn't ever quite done this before on just one arm though, so her wings resisted to turn as she did, whilst her foot stepped onto her tail; thus she only managed to flip back into her previous position on the ground.

With an annoyed look on her face, she just sat up, bearing the pain inflicted upon her bad arm, crouched and stood up. The additional pain dispersed, but the previous one still lingered. She couldn't help but somewhat snicker at her stupidity for trying that flip in the first place, as well as her absurd leap from the cliff earlier. She didn't know where a doctor was, and had no desire to ask for help, but decided it was better than nothing, to ask those 'dysfunctional beings' that had only questioned or stood idle while she asked for help.

"Where might I find the infirmary?" She said, with a most informal tone.

Deneli suddenly became excited at the word "infirmary". She herself didn't even quite understand where the sudden burst of energy came from, but it was certainly there. She knew where the infirmary was! It was one of the first rooms she'd stumbled across when she first got to the castle. She loved being helpful~

"Oo~ The infirmary's on the third floor. Up the stairs by the music room." She held one finger pointed towards the sky as though she were pointing up towards the infirmary. Knowing this basic location off the top of her head made Deneli feel as though she actually knew the school now. It was a very accomplished feeling.

Deneli turned her attention back towards Ndale and the horsie, specifically Ndale. "Kitty, maybe you should let her ride the horsie. She's hurt." Deneli gave him a look similar to that of a mother telling a child to share his toys. The expression was quickly interrupted, however, by a bout of a giggles as she imagined how her face must have looked to Ndale.

Ndale watched with a raised eyebrow at the hurt girl tried to...what was that maneuver even supposed to do? He certainly didn't know. As Deneli spoke, the cheetah turned to look at her, though his expression grew insulted, blinking at the girl. Give up his seat? For some girl? She was walking, that meant she could walk herself to the infirmary. He huffed, but the look on Deneli's face was serious - well, until she broke out into giggles. His ears pinned back and eyes narrowed, but they soon rolled in a big fashion and he complied. Standing, he carefully placed his feet, front paws on the side of the horse's stomach to the point were they were starting to slide down the light fur, and jumped. He landed in a crouch with a dull thud besides the larger animal. He was quick to stand and shake out his fur, as if the action had left him dusty and undignified.

The thought of just leaving now crossed the cheetah's mind, but if they were going to the infirmary, then perhaps he would tag along just to go see Od. He looked at the girl and then jerked his head up towards his vacated spot upon the Shire's back, gesturing for her to hop up.

Rhys glanced, irritated at Deneli. She had no idea how to get to the third floor, where the music room was, let alone the infirmary. Although, ride a horse to there? Sounded quite convenient, to her ears. The cheetah's 'generous offer' wasn't seen as one. She found it quite irritating, since she could easily walk there. She just didn't know how to get there.

Useless ignorant people.. she thought.

Reluctantly, she climbed onto the horse's back.

"Do they even allow horses in the building?" she asked.

This wasn't a 'normal' school, so she couldn't tell. Although, then again, the people here weren't normal people, including herself.

Once again, Abel found himself grateful for Deneli's attentiveness. Having never actually been inside the castle, he wouldn't have an inkling on how to find the infirmary. He would certainly get lost, so he was relieved that this girl seemed to know where to go.

He snorted with some amusement at Ndale's reluctance, but wasn't surprised when he eventually complied with Deneli's instructions. She had certainly taken charge and he would have smiled at her if he could.

The shire stood still and steady while the cheetah dismounted and the injured girl took his place. Then he began to move forwards at a careful pace, trying not to jostle her with too much movement. He might not know where the infirmary was, but he did at least know the way back to the castle. He began heading that way, assuming the others would come along as well.

Deneli looked at Ndale as he stood and shook out his fur and moved to pat him on the head. "Thanks Kitty~" Deneli walked beside the horse with a bounce to her step. She wanted to thank the horsie too, but she'd do it later. She looked to Rhys and shrugged in response to her question.

"I think it's ok this time." She giggled, then tilted her thoughtfully. "I don't know if he'll be able to get up to get up to the third floor though..." After a moment she shrugged again and ran ahead of the shire a bit. She then turned so she could walk backwards and make eye contact with Rhys. "So what's your name? I'm Deneli." She pointed towards Ndale. "And that's Ndale. I call him Kitty though~"

He watched, unimpressed, as Rhys climbed up onto Abel's back. When the horse started forward, Ndale fell into step at the beast's front legs. His stride was slightly sped up to keep in pace with the horse's longer strides, but it worked out well. He hardly paid any attention to the proceedings, except to glance back at the girl as he was introduced.

Mmm.

He huffed and looked forward again. The trek up was boring, and so he took to occasionally batting at the Shire's front foot between steps. Stupid horse.

"Ah..I'm-" She began to speak, but she was too self-conscious to utter her own name.

What if they talked about 'Rhys, the stupid girl who broke her arm while what appeared to be suicide-jumping off a cliff. What a loser'.

Rhys shivered. She didn't care much what other people did, but if they talked behind her back...Well, that was another story.

"Larita." The only word she could say; perhaps it could bring humiliation to her. Rhys smiled, only briefly, at the thought. She shifted her weight more forward, this movement was something she'd heard about once, trying to convey the notion for the shire to trot, while grasping the shire's mane with her hands.

The girl did say the cat's name, as well as her own...

"Does the horse have a name?"

Both ears swiveled thoughtfully. They were going to take him into the castle? He wasn't certain that was wise; he didn't want the nice student Deneli to get into any trouble because of him.

Some movement by his feet drew his attention and the shire bowed his heavy head to watch a playful paw toss the abundant feathers that fell over his hooves. The cheetah was given a curious glance from the corner of his eye and he huffed quietly. Each step was taken with a suddenly increased amount of attention and care, and every time Ndale made a swat at his feet, Abel's pace faltered with one foot hovering in the air, as he felt he had to check the grass to make sure the paw was clear before he lowered the foot into the grass.

The name 'Larita' meant nothing to him, so he had no reason to question the claim. But he was paying very little attention to the conversation at any rate. In the back of his mind, Abel did register the small weight on his back pitching forwards slightly, but he acted the very typical stubborn draft and didn't speed up at all--not even a hesitancy. He was much too obsessed with not stepping on Ndale, still walking with his head a bit bowed and watching the ground.

Deneli was excited by the girl's name since she'd heard the same name before. "Larita? You have the same name as-" She interrupted herself with a pause as she tried to think of a way to make reference to the other Larita and giggled. "Larita! Um.. oh! The cheerleading captain." She raise a finger into the air, feeling successful for having found a way to differentiate between the two Laritas.

Deneli tried to think of something to say about the cheerleading Larita, but she was a lot like Ambrose in that Deneli couldn't really tell if she was mean or nice. So she said nothing, dismissing her thoughtful look with a shrug.

Deneli looked to the shire, curiously at the question of his name before shrugging. "I don't know. He should have a name though! He's really nice!" She looked back towards Ndale. "What do you think his name is, Kitty?"

The feline whipped his head around, pausing in his abuse of the shire's feet, to pin a suspicious glare on the girl up on the horse's back. Larita? Ndale knew Larita, and he also knew enough that there was only one Larita in the school. It wasn't that common a name, and he had done more than his fair share of snooping around the dorm houses to know that in all likelyhood, this girl was lying about her name. That and the stuttered pause only increased his mistrust. He didn't know why she would fib about such a thing though. Did she not want them knowing her name?

He huffed and slowly turned his attention forward, eyes flicking to the horse's feet before swiping at it once again as it was carefully placed down. For some reason, it was idly amusing. As the cheetah was adressed, he looked up. Glancing at Deneli, then to the horse, and back to the other girl, he simply gave a lame sort of odd shrug and a lazy, airy snort. Didn't know, didn't care.

The feline shook his head and trootted a bit faster to pull ahead of the horse before edging to his left to line himself up with the Shire's path. Then, he slowed to a lazy stroll, slower than even just regular walking. He turned an eye back over his shoulder with a cocky glint.

It seemed the girl knew her name, but was quite oblivious to the matter. The feline's behavior on the other hand, stated they had suspicions. To Rhys, Larita was such a despised person.

"Tch." That was probably the dumbest thing she'd ever thought of. Rhys wasn't really one to think up something smart on the spot, though.

At least none of them knew who she really was. Despite teachers, and such.

She sighed as her futile efforts to make the shire go faster failed.

Failed. Again.

So many failed plans.
