The Back Woods

Leon was not currently in the hallways of Lillegard chasing after a fairy with a blood lust. Actually, he was in the back woods of Rosewood County racing his sister. This was the best scenario Leon could come up with to make himself comfortable in the claustrophobia of the corridors. He flew low, wings pulled in close, directing himself only with tips of his wings. The corners where he had to pull and change direction sharply were like the trees. It was always a matter of evasive tactics in the woods. Leon had always proven to be agile than Cass, if a bit slower.

He was behind now though, and Leon was making up for lost time. He knew the corridors better than Henry, just like he knew the back woods better than Cass. Just because he didn't like the indoors, didn't mean he hadn't taken the precautionary measure of learning them. Henry had only just arrived at the school, by the look of things.

Only just arrived, and already he'd nearly killed someone. Well, to be cliche, he wasn't going to get away with it. It took a little while to get used to small space, but once he knew the exact motions he had to make to get around corners, it became oddly rhythmic. Unlike in the woods, where he had to adjust to all the different kinds and locations of trees and branches that he was flying into, the bends in the hall were all the same angle.

Henry had gotten the head start, but he had no clue where to go. He didn't like the fact he felt bad about hurting Jami, let alone that her 'friend' was no doubtingly going to pursue him. Maybe he could get lost enough not to be found. After a while though Henry felt like he was going in circles. So many halls connected to each other...

Henry finally put his wings away after finding himself near a window with curtains. Perfect! he could wait here until maybe Leon gave up the search! No the idea was complete crap but what was he going to do? Henry started pulling and pushing at doors he came by, yet most lead to crowed storage and/or were locked. He had a bad feeling about what would happen if Leon found him. Henry had no clue what hee was but he knew he contained magic.

Leon's pursuit of Henry was largely intuitive. Something in the air was telling him where to go, as he only actually saw which direction Henry went occasionally. He slowed however when the trail seemed to go cold. He threw both legs out under him, not leaning in any particular direction but turned towards the right. This stopped his flight entirely at a T-style-intersection of the corridors, and he extended one wing out into the hall he'd just come from to keep falling down the ground. He looked everything like some sort of gargoyle.

He looked down the right hall first then looked back over his shoulder down the left one. When he didn't see anything, he planted his feet back on the floor so as not to strain his wing any further. He wasn't actually thinking now. He'd given methods free reign and was simply doing what logic demanded him to do. Now he remained entirely silent, listening for any signs that the metallic fairy was anywhere nearby.

Leon turned quickly down the other hall at the sound of several doors opening and then promptly closing. Without granting it a second thought, Leon rushed down this hall. He skid to a halt as he reached another similar intersection to the one he'd just been at. His eyes found Henry easily when he looked down the hall, and he braced one foot against the wall, not entirely sure if Henry was going to running or face him. He certainly had bravado for a coward.

The look he gave to Henry was carefully neutral, by order of his methods. The pain in his wrist was beginning to intensify again, reminding him he wouldn't be able to summon energy to that hand. If he needed it, he'd have to channel his energy to his less dominant, and therefore less effective, hand.

Damn non of these rooms were good. Henry whirled around and caught the image of a male standing at the end of the hall. Damn he'd found him! Henry focused on anything, metal specifically. He stood his ground and cooled a bit from his fright. Maybe a casual talk it out thing could work here.

Running his haand through his hair in a stressed I'm trying to be cool manner, henry started walking towards Leon. Man he was stupid, why the heck would he talk ti out?! "Before we do anything, can we try talking? I mean, seriously fighting isn't necessary.'" He coughed a bit an the end in un-comfortableness.

Leon raised an eyebrow at Henry. How pathetic. He was content to start his own trouble, but once things looked bad for him he suddenly wanted to back out. Leon scoffed. "What you mean is: you don't have a knife to throw at me so you'd rather talk it out. Talking isn't necessary either though."

Leon's wings were slowly extending themselves further over his shoulders, to the point where Leon had to bend his back a bit to do so comfortable. The effect was something of a menacing stance, reminiscent of a big cat preparing to pounce its prey. The fingers of his left hand were splayed at his thigh, however, and this had looked more like he was preparing for a shootout.

Leon shrugged and continued. "I don't care why you did it. The fact is its done."

What the hell was he doing. Leon was right, Henry was completely screwing himself over. Talking wasn't necessary! But he didn't want to be beaten by this guy. "I get it, I am a fool, stupid and messed up in the head! But that's what 4 years with the memory of your ex girlfriend tearing your only family appart does to you!" It was true but still an excuse. If he was going to get hurt, he at least wanted Leon to know why he did it.

"Getting rid of her, I thought it owuld make me even..." He shook his head adding thoughts to the end in his mind. He looked straight at Leon, it was the truth and Leon should know it. Henry couldn't stand sleeping at night with nightmares of the event and unwanted dreams of Jami.

Leon out a huff of air, frustrated. Why were people so predictable? You say one thing, they do the other. He'd just told Henry he didn't care why he'd done, yet he was still trying to justify himself. He didn't relax his stance in the least. If Henry tried to run again, Leon was going to be ready. And if it were him in Henry's shoes, he'd wait until the other person relaxed before making any kind of move.

"I couldn't care less. You missed your chance." His frustration was audible in his voice. What sort of logic was that? Something happened years ago, then you suddenly cross paths with the person responsible and decide to take revenge? That wasn't even revenge. Revenge wasn't something you executed simply when the opportunity arose. Henry was too late to want revenge now. Leon gave a one-shouldered shrug. "It's been a while hasn't it? Get over it." His tone now was entirely unsympathetic, cold.

Ugh, Leon wasn't getting it. Does it matter how long ago? The guy had grudges to didn't he? How can you get an image like that from anyway? "What if you wished you could stop loving a murderer though?!" Admitting it didn't make him feel any better. This was pointless. Leon wasn't gonna care about anything he said, it was obvious.

Henry turned towards the wall and rested on his elbow. His hand holding out his head. "Never mind, beat me up, I don't care anymore. I deserve it." He did, he shouldn't have hurt Jami, but he was just so angry...

Leon pulled his wings back in a bit and began to approach Henry, seeing as he was now leaning against the wall. "I'm touched, really." Leon's harsh tone easily showed the lie in the statement. He had no patience for this. "'Loving a murderer'. How poetic."

Once he'd closed the distance between himself and Henry, Leon retracted his wings entirely. His wrist was radiating a dull but constant pain. now. Truthfully, he didn't feel like dealing with this idiot. Henry wanted to sit there and talk about his emotions. He'd just stabbed Jami. What in the hell made him think Leon would care in the least about his damn emotions??

"Yes, you do." Leon agreed. "But unlike you, I'm a bit more methodical with my revenge." Leon was also relentless and persistent when it came to such things. He didn't wait wait multiple years before seeking it. In fact, at this very moment, he already knew how he planned to get his revenge on Feign. Henry, however, was insignificant to him. He wasn't worth his time it took for him to devise a decent plan. Likely, he wouldn't end up seeking any kind of revenge on the boy. He had bigger fish to fry. That didn't mean Henry had to know that though. "Don't leave the island." It was a warning. The command suggested that if Henry did leave, Leon would come looking for him, and his methods had him angry enough that the implied lie was true.

Leon walked past Henry down the hall. He didn't like back at the boy, but was listening carefully. He was still prepared for any sort of action Henry may take, on the off-chance he would in fact try something.

Rolling his eyes Henry looked away from Leon. As he got up in his face though, Henry's frown turned to a sneer. He didn't like being hostile, but over the years his kind nature vanished. The threats Leon gave were annoying but worked. henry honestly believed Leon was pissed and would take out his anger on Henry if he tried anything.

Finally when Leon waled away Henry went off outside and flew out somewhere in the Island to go hit something.
