Hunting for... What?

[Audi]

The castle... It was really pretty clean.

Not that Audi liked living in filth, mind you. It just didn't make much of a difference to her. But ... in places where humans throw away their unneeded items treasure awaits, buried under dirt and trash. Audi managed to find the spot where unneeded items rested, but there was no dirt, trash or treasure there - just furniture, covered in the thinnest film of dust.

Still, it was a pleasant place to scout around, as not many people went there. And when they did, they were also looking for solitude and wanted to avoid her as much as she did. Maybe most everybody that she had seen and met so far seemed pretty nice, but she still hadn't shaken off that feeling of not belonging. And maybe further alienation didn't help. But that was the last thing she wanted to think about.
She was laying curled up under a table, the white canvas it was covered with falling around her like a tent. In hopes that moving would help take her mind off things, she stood up on all fours, yawned, then shook herself off, numerous necklaces she was wearing making a small jingle. Nudging the canvas with her muzzle she crawled out from under the table.

Now what?

Audi scratched herself behind her ear, sitting up on her heels, her tail curling around her. What a boring day it was.

[Kerry!]

Kerry hobbled nearly drunken looking in to the third floor of the east wing. The stairs. He had hated them with all his idiotic mind power. With his anatomy it had been a though job getting up, legs shorter than arms, trying to walk upright like people always reminded him to do. He didn't care so much for the thoughs of others... but if walking like some.. some human would get him friends, he would still do it.

His five orb like eyes zipped around in their sockets, looking at all the furniture, a few covered with sheets. This reminded him of something. He could have sworn one time there were loads of kiddies running outside with cloths on them, two eye holes cut for their eyes. Must have been some demonic summoning ritual. 'Trik o reat' they had called it. Or chanted. Lazily the monstrosity lifted his big hand and tapped his chin. Would it be possible for him to join whatever Trik o reat had been about?

His footsteps thumped, an unnatural second thump adding to the rhytm by his hands, using them help him walk. Kerry stopped by the table, his eyes locked on the sheet. With his big hands he pulled it off of the table, shoving the corner of it ever so elegantly in his mouth. A small splatter of drool made it's way to the floor, dripping near Audi.

At this point Kerry finally realized he wasn't alone.
'Heeeellooooooooooooooooooooooo' he bellowed with his echoing voice, untill some dust got in his lungs, causing the poor thing to cough. Hygiene wasn't his strong point. He didn't cover when coughing, letting his drool sprinkle around him even more.

The odd footsteps coming from outside the room made her turn her head and stare at the door expectantly. With her fingers she anxiously rolled up the edge of her patchwork shirt as she waited for whoever was to enter. Oh, she wasn't prepared for it.

The thing that waddled in was unlike anything she'd ever seen. It reminded her of pictures in books, but it was just so unnatural to see something alien like that moving around in reality, raising its huge arm to tap at its chin. Audi stared at the creature with eyes wide open, almost hypnotized, as it began to consume the sheet. Only when it spoke up did she break out of her stupor and she blinked, recoiling at the splattering cough. What now??

She lowered her hands to the floor and sat like a dog, torn between wanting to examine the newcomer and wanting to run. Sure, he'd said 'hellooo', but that didn't necessarily mean he had good intentions, and his appearance itself was enough to be wary. Audi observed the monster intently as she lifted her flank off the ground slightly to be ready to run at the smallest hint of an attack.
