Zerda Continues (Intruder event)

[Zerda Vulpes]

Zerda was happy to meet new people along the way, but he really wanted to find this man. He seemed to be mysterious to Miss Everly, and he wanted to make her proud by getting rid of the man, or at least by bringing him in so she may see if he was really a threat. Walking further into the forest he felt a a mix of lost and uneasy feelings wrap around him. He felt like he was being watched, then again it was probably his imagination messing with him. He was not used to hunting down anything that could be wither his size or larger and this was quite scary. Holding his tail in both his hands up to his chest, Zerda continued his search feeling a little better. After walking so far Zerda found the dirt road that he and Valentin had once walked and he smiled at the familiarity. Though his smile suddenly faded as the scent of something he had only briefly encountered. It had a rustic scent of Valentin, but was much worse as well as mixed with other toxic scents. Zerda felt his nose sting a bit at the horrid smell and he wanted to run, but something hit him. If this was not a match of Valentin, then maybe it was the stranger. Sticking his head up a little to get a better whiff, he was off, slowly but surely was heading in the right direction. At least he had hoped it was the right direction.

"Heh... I remember this...the trees, scenery...and that impudent feline."

If only....

A flashback flew across his mind about his dream.

Well, the past is just past. Forget it, Aesis. He said to himself.

He looked upon the road, and apparently there was another figure...with a tail.

"...Ndale, that'd better not be you."

He rushed towards the figure, summoned a banana, and his fruit armed and ready to throw.

Making a dramatic leap, he threw the banana at the figure supposedly being Ndale.

[Zerda Vulpes]

Zerda was so focused on the scent that had filled his nostrils that he had not noticed the man that came running behind him with banana in hand. He felt he was close and that he could figure this whole thing out just from the scent, and he couldn't wait till he would finally find this man. Unfortunately that seemed to be a little more out of reach than he thought, as suddenly a banana had smacked Zerda right in the back of the head. Zerda felt the back of his head and then quickly turned to see a man with dark skin and...green hair? Never had Zerda seen a a man with green hair. Zerda got in a defensive pose as he eyed the man before him, "Who are you?" He asked as he smelt the air that now seemed to smell of a fruitiness, and yes it may not have matched the scent of the rust and oil, but it still was not something that he was familiar with.

[Aesis - DISCONTINUED]

As Aesis approached the figure, he noticed it was not Ndale.

"Oh...sorry, I thought you were someone else..."

He lowered another banana summoned just in case.

Then, he began to munch on his banana in guilt, however was glad Ndale was not around.

Ludolf came through the group barking leading Zula, now the smells confused him for a moment and he stopped to look at the group "Zula, ....looks like we found a group of people, but not where that smell was coming from... I'm willing to join the group... it'll be safer don't you think Zula?" He asked her.

Following Ludolf all the way to Dirt Road, he informed her that they found a group not far from them. "Yes, you're right Ludolf, as you suggested I think it would be safer if there's more people..." Zula could make out the green haired boy, could it be the one Ndale always with? And the other one with a tail...Zerda?

[Zerda Vulpes]

Zerda was a little annoyed as the man had not introduced himself, and he had the right mind to tackle him and take the man in for questioning. However, Zerda stopped when he saw Zula and some man with her coming along the path. He smiled at her presence and as soon as he noticed their calm reaction to the man with green hair, he had calmed down himself. He was happy to see a familiar face and was even more happy that it was lovely Miss Zula, she was a very caring person and all in all nice. The other two seemed equally nice, well other than the fact that one tried to assassinate him with a banana. Turning towards them he nodded and smiled, "I'm Zerda Vulpes, who are you two?" He asked before turning back to Zula with a smile. "Zula! I'm glad to see you again? Did you by chance find anything?"

[Zula Clefhoof]

"Zerda, it's good to find you here," said Zula as she approach Zerda with the green haired boy. "And nope, I didn't find anything interesting at the Field, I followed Ludolf here when we happen to smells something like in the cities."

"I don't like the smell of cities, and Zula, can you be a dear and introduce me to your friends?" the wolf asked rubbing up against Zula, he was very calm and he was looking around at everyone trying to figure out who these people were, especially since he probably had one or two of them in class, or at least seb did...

[Aesis - DISCONTINUED]

He muttered incohererent speech for a moment, then sighted 2 other figures, both of which he'd met before in the corridor...

"Oh...hi..." he said softly.

[Zula Clefhoof]

"Sure, Ludolf," said Zula, looking down at him. "This is Zerda Vulpes, I met him at the Forest a few hours ago, and that person is...err..." Zula looked at the green haired boy, she didn't know his name yet because the last time she met him with Nadale he was speaking in a language she didn't really know. "I'm sorry to ask this but what is your name again?" Zula asked the green haired boy, hoping he understand what she's asking.

[`NPC]

A few scarce trees enclosed this part of the dirt road. To the east, the path went further into thicker patches of trees. To the west, the trees seemed to clear, revealing the beginnings of the Academy grounds. The sun had made its way to that side of the island, but the whole afternoon was still left of the day.

Someone who didn't want to be found would most likely head into the darker parts of the forest, avoiding the revealing rays of the afternoon sun. But there was that scent again, as if this were a busy street in a beach town rather than an abandoned dirt road. And it wasn't heading back into the darkness at all, but straight across the road and almost due west. The intruder seems to have become either careless or cocky, as there are even a few soft footprints in the path heading that way. Whatever he is after, he was willing to risk exposure to reach it.

He'd noticed he'd have to introduce himself....once again.

He sighed heavily, then pointed at himself, and said "Aesis." in monotone, however getting the syllables right for once after many introductions.

[Guest]

"A pleasure Aesis."

Suddenly he caught a good smell of the intruder, and he started off, circling a little bit to see if the group was going to follow, "I can smell him.... ohhhhhhhh I hate the smell of him.... its a dirty smell..." he said pacing a little bit, getting ahead of the group slightly, leading them. The wolf, of course, had a very sensitive nose, but, also, as part of Sebastian, he had an obligation to try to protect the students, so he really wanted to be able to put himself first in-case the others had to be told to run off.

Zerda was happy to meet all the people here too, but it seemed that his canine friend had the same tracked mine that he had. He followed close to him and smiled as he was glad someone else could take over the smell part, as he himself could start putting all his effort into hearing. His giant ears perked up and he used them like giant satellites to try pick up on strange activity and he felt happy using these things once again to hunt. He had taken a little time to himself wondering if he was going to be able to eat the intruder or not, then again he might not taste that great if he smelled like he did. Perhaps things would finally look better. He just hoped they would find this name soon, he was getting a little hungry from all this eating the intruder thoughts.

He stared at the others, appearing to be looking for something.

"..what are you searching for..?" he stated, forgetting he was speaking a foreign language so the others wouldn't understand him.

Pretending to be useful, he turned towards a random direction and pretended to be 'searching' for something...although he didn't know what.

[Zerda Vulpes]

Zerda looked over at the the elf that walked with him and he tilted his head. What was it that he just said? Seemed this one was in need of a few english classes to keep his speach up around them. Then again is was just prabably a common mistake, like how sometimes Zerda would find himself acting out through his body as a ways of comunication. He couldn't help it, he was just a very close person and loved to be near others. Turning to him as they walked he smiled, "What was it that you said? I don't understand you language..." Seemed this one was thinking of something other than the mission at hand, but how could he tell he just met the guy.

[Aesis - DISCONTINUED]

After hearing the other guy utter something he didn't understand, he responded with:

"...Eh?"

Pausing for a moment,he then turned back around and resumed his pitiful status of searching for nothing.

[Zula Clefhoof]

While watching Zerda and Aesis, Zula looked around the area for some clues. She wondered that why the Intruder would come here? Could he/she be after something valuable like treasure hidden in the castle? Zula shook her head because she thinks that it was impossible because as far as she know, she didn't see anything valuable in the castle.

[`NPC]

To the west, the dirt road took a southward bend, leading towards the castle. The trees began to clear further from the main forest. There were no more signs of footprints or anything visual that would lead this brave group to the intruder's location.

The scent trail still continues to the northwest, away from the dirt road. But this time it is accompanied by the slight sound of a door closing. It isn't terribly loud, and the normal human ear would surely miss it altogether.

[Guest]

Ludolf whined and looked at the group, he really wanted to run, and so he gave himself a 100 yard dash as he followed the scent, and then stopped as soon as he heard the door closing, he figured he'd have it pinpointed and looked back at the group, he was uncertain if he wanted them to catch up or if he wanted them to go back to the castle where it was safe. He took another twenty feet and then watched to see if the group was going to follow him, and trust him, or if they were going to take themselves back to the castle. He gave a low whine watching silently, making sure that he kept his bearings so that he would be able to continue after the intruder.

[Aesis - DISCONTINUED]

Although a faint sound, he'd heard a 'creak' somewhere distant, due to the enormous size of his ears.

"What is...?"

He paused and noticed the dog dashing off into the direction the sound was emitted.

"..This is strange..."

Ignorant on what to do, he haplessly followed along the path the dog had trekked.

"Geh..How the heck am I caught up in all of this?"

Because you're stupid, that's what. The voice in his head said.

'Shut up' he responded to the voice in his head.

[Zula Clefhoof]

"What's wrong, Ludolf?" Worried, Zula followed Ludolf to where he was. The whining sound made Zula felt that something must be not right. Could it be that the...intruder is near? she thought to herself.

[Zerda Vulpes]

Zerda watched as Ludolf had responded to the sound of a door closing in th distance. He looked over towards the direction of the castle and he tilted his head. Seemed Ludolf's sense of hearing was quite advanced, like his own and he smiled to find something else that could hear just as well as he could. Looking back at the group he tilted his head towards the direction of the castle and he smiled, "This way! Ludolf and I heard something from over there! Maybe the intruder went into the castle!" Zerda began to wonder why this person would want to go there. Maybe he was looking for someone?

[`NPC]

The sun appears to be moving quickly across the deep sky, the hours passing by as the small group searches for more clues to the intruder's whereabouts.

A strong breeze flows in from the Northwest, carrying the now familiar scent of what could be the intruder. He doesn't seem to have followed the dirt road any further, but instead turned north away from the main castle.

Then the breeze dies, hiding all evidence of a trail. The group would have to move quickly to catch their prey, as there are no more clues to be found on the dirt road.
