Audi gave a nod, contented with the answer. It was a good reason to be here. Now, if only the dryad had added 'and work' to it, it would be perfect; but maybe she just felt it was obvious and didn't need saying. Audi was willing to put good faith in that.

She flicked her tail and glanced behind her at Nasya as she grabbed the doorknob and leaned back, putting her whole weight into moving the heavy door. Right, names. She always forgot. "I'm Audi." Once the door was open, she slunk through it and stood with her back to it to keep it open for the dryad. "Is not far now." she said, looking outside. A path lead further north towards the stables and other facilities, but the roofs of the dormitory houses were visible above them. Audi raised her arm to point a clawed finger at them. "There."

[Nasya]

Audi. Alright. She'd try not to forget it. The dryad stepped through the open door, smiling in thanks at the ratgirl. Her eyes followed the pointed finger and locked on the roofs visible a little furter away from the castle.

"Oh. Alright." Did that mean they were going separate ways, now? Probably. She shrugged. Alright.

Nasya rolled her shoulders, glad the dorms were close. She wouldn't have to carry bag and Tree much longer. And she would feel less exposed if her Tree was somewhere safe, behind closed doors. She smiled wryly. With so many supernatural beings, maybe here wasn't really to be considered safe. She turned back to Audi.

"Thanks for showing me the way."

[Audi]

Audi smiled back. It was nice to think that despite starting off the wrong foot -- yeah, okay, she was wrong to pounce a stranger -- she may have made a new friend.

She peered at her questioningly, looked to the dorms, then back to the woman, as if mistrusting her ability to get there on her own. But, she would manage, she supposed, and Audi did have her own business to attend to. There was this deep, inner instinct that wanted her to provide further service to the human, but she ignored it. She wasn't that anymore. Audi leaned back and gave a firm nod. "No problem. We'll talk later," she said. There were things to be learned about the dryad and her tree yet, to be sure... and some she was going to try and find out at the library.

A human-shaped plant. It was hard to believe it had been a coincidence.

Nasya gave a huff, half amused and half offended, at the look she got. The ratgi... Audi didn't look sure she'd be able to find her way. Ha. She smiled, though, when Audi answered.

"Alright. See you around, then."

She smiled one last time before starting her walk towards the dorms. Without looking back, she raised a hand in a half wave for her guide. As the dryad walked, her hand came to absently stroke one of her Tree's leaves. Were days and happenings like this one normal, here? Even common? She grinned. If it was, she would never be bored.
